New Zealand referee experts conduct workshop in Kandy

A three-member panel of expert New Zealand rugby referees conducted a workshop for local referees in Kandy educating and updating them on the new laws of the game.

Some 40 referees attended the workshop where fitness and drills were also taken into account on an eventful day. The local referees hailed from Kandy, Kurunegala, Matale, Kegalle and Badulla who followed the workshop conducted by New Zealanders Sam Fellows, Sam Thompson and Sean Curragh along with Sri Lanka born Krishan Ambawatte and veteran match official Anil Jayasinghe.
