In this fast-paced world we have to be inevitably competitive. If not, it is certain that we will get cast out of the current job market. To shed light on this less discussed topic we caught up with Samadhi Bandara, the Executive Vice President of the IGC campus.

Significance of e-learning

With mounting targets and assignments, we are in an unrelenting rat-race. As a result, we fail to pursue higher studies despite our burning desire for learning. However, we should not forget that our inadequate qualifications can impact our career.

The remedy for malady is online learning. As noted by Samadhi, today’s young generation are unable to pursue their higher studies needed for their future promotions and career improvement due to inadequate educational qualifications. Delving deeper into the current situation, it is evident that most educational institutions offer physical courses.

This is why all state schools and private schools should adapt themselves to e-learning methods. “State schools and universities should provide a proper education fit for the future job market because traditional and outdated subjects are not useful for their career path.”

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence has invaded many fields, leaving no room for humans. But, we should not be oblivious to the fact that there are things that Artificial Intelligence fails to achieve.

As noted by Samadhi Bandara, people should be more specialized in their own fields in order to fill those spaces.

“Whatever you are doing, you have to be specialized in the field. It means that you are more innovative than others. Then, you can provide something new and valuable for society. Schools must create an environment where students think anew.

“It is better to change our mindset that learning is not remembering things. In this current educational system children are forced to regurgitate the syllabus. Whether they come up with innovative ideas is still a question mark,’’ said Samadhi Bandara.
