Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd held the Canon Partner Awards Night 2023/2024 at the Grandeeza Hotel in Negombo, honouring the exceptional contributions of Canon’s top dealers across Sri Lanka bringing together nearly 200 key partners from across the island, underscoring their role in Canon’s success and market growth in Sri Lanka.
Deputy Chairman of Metropolitan Technologies, Ivor Maharoof said Metropolitan has been in operation for 66 years and 50 years as Canon’s exclusive distributor in Sri Lanka.
Director of the Regional PSD Division for Digital Printing and Business Solutions at Canon Marketing Asia, Too Kok Yong was also present.
Over 30 awards were presented across three categories: Recognition Awards, Excellence Awards, and Elite Awards.
The highest honours, the Elite Top Performer Awards, were given to the top three dealers for their exemplary performance and commitment to Canon’s brand. Accell Technology Holding was named the winner, followed by Printers LK as the first runner-up and IT Galaxy as the second runner-up. The Elite Top 10 Partner Awards recognised Barclays Computers, Digital Media Center, Elinext It, It Hub, Sense Micro Distributions, Techno Forms, and VYS International for their outstanding contributions.
The special honours included the Modern Trade Excellence Award for 2023/2024, went to Singer Sri Lanka for its leadership in modern trade channels, while the Government Sector Excellence Award was presented to State Trading Corporation.
