A weekly glance at the Colombo Stock Market

For the week ended November 14, 2024, the Colombo Stock Exchange recorded a weekly turnover of Rs. 17.5 Billion.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) posted a return of 3.11%, while the S&P SL20 showed a return of 3.81%.

As per the previous week ended 08th November 2024, the Colombo Stock Exchange recorded a weekly turnover of Rs. 11.6 Billion.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) posted a return of -0.49%, while the S&P SL20 showed a return of -1.24%.

Meanwhile on Thursday (13) marking the highest level since January 31, 2022, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange surpassed the 13,000 mark increasing by 136.20 points to close at 13,125.19. The turnover stood at Rs. 6.9 billion.

The bullish sentiments of the market were driven by price gains across Banks and blue-chip stocks.
