ADELAIDE University is reshaping the global study experience for the next generation of leaders and innovators.

By rethinking the approach for modern learners, Adelaide University aims to have the most future-focused curriculum in Australia.

Adelaide University is challenging traditional learning and asking: how can we do this better?

More than 3,000 academics and teaching innovation experts are currently developing 1500 new courses with dynamic content ready forwhen our doors open in 2026.

Students will gain knowledge and experience through practicals, tutorials, studios, seminars, clinics and workshops, along with work integrated learning supported by industry partners and opportunities for global mobility.

The University is already collaborating with around 200 employers to co-design programs and betterunderstand what they value most,ensuring students are well-preparedfor life beyond the classroom.

Combining 180 years of experience, Adelaide University will build on the cutting-edge methods innovated at our founding institutions – the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. This includes hands-on learning like simulations that replicate financial trading rooms, operating theatres, dental clinics, microbreweries, and immersive3D environments.

Courses at Adelaide University will also include some self-paced learning modules with high quality digital content and interactive activities like online polls and gamified elements to develop important technical skills.

Every element of Adelaide University’s curriculum will support access, flexibility and encourage a mindset forlifelong learning.

This will be achieved in part by the Adelaide University Graduate Qualities that will give students the values and skills to navigate the modern world and position them for future success.

These qualities are also guiding how courses are developed. Graduates will emerge as passionate professionals, ethical leaders who do what is right over what is easy, strategic problem solvers, global citizens who understand their role in the world, resilient and creative thinkers, and trusted communicators who can inspire change.

Students willalso study universal common core courses, providing an opportunity to connect with peers across different studyareas.

These courses are linked to in-demand skills required for modern business, including artificial intelligence, data knowledges, cultural understanding, and entrepreneurship and design thinking.
