Jaffna and Lyceum boys in Sri Lanka squad

A promising cricketer from Jaffna, V Akash and another from Lyceum International School at Wattala have been selected into a Sri Lanka Under-17 squad to confront Bangladesh in a home series starting today.

A student of Hartley College in Jaffna, Akash is in a 15-member squad to feature in three one-day matches to be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium along with Rasith Nimsara from Lyceum.

Sri Lanka Under-17 squad: Rehan Peiris (Royal College), Dulsith Dharshana (Mahinda College), Janidu Ranasinghe (D. S. Senanayake, College), Senuja Wekunagoda (St. Joseph’s College), Kithma Withanapathirana (Captain, Ananda College), Jason Fernando (St. Peter’s College), Joshua Sebastian (St. Peter’s College), Sethmika Seneviratne (Trinity College), Chalana Dineth (Royal College, Panadura), Rajith Navodya (Maliyadeva College), V. Akash (Hartley College, Jaffna), Kenula Pihilianga (Kingswood College), Rayan Gregory (St. Anthony’s College, Kandy), Rasith Nimsara (Lyceum International, Wattala) Osanda Pamuditha (Nalanda College)
