Dvolt Electric appoints Micro Enterprise as distributor in Sri Lanka and Maldives

Micro Enterprise and Electric (Pvt) Ltd of Colombo 13, has been appointed ‘Exclusive Distributor’ for Sri Lanka and the Maldives by Chinese company Dvolt Electric Limited for its range of Low Voltage products.

Chairman, Micro Enterprise, Dhammika Samarawickrama said, “Our unblemished sales record of over 18 years, quality manufacturing facility, ISO 9001 (in 2015), ISO-14001 (in 2015) and ISO-45001 (in 2018) certifications along with the standard of our Mumbai factory were the key factors that helped us to be the exclusive distributor in Sri Lanka.”

He said that under this distributorship they would be only marketing low voltage electrical equipment for the industrial market that is not manufactured in Sri Lanka. “These products carry guarantees ranging from five years to lifetime. We will also have a product range of over 180 plus items and will also have equipment for the solar power segment as well. Prices of Dvolt Electric items would be 20% less than the competitive products,” he said. He also said that they signed the agreement in his regard in China recently and the products would be available in Sri Lanka and the Maldives markets from January 2025.

“We will also look at assembling some of these products locally very soon at our Colombo 13 factory with around 30% local value additions. As we are already into making electrical items we do not have reinvestment for large machinery again and can continue this assembly operation with some modifications. When this is done we can further reduce the price to the customs,” Samarawickrama said.
