The Moshika Ballet Institute, is preparing to celebrate its twelfth anniversary next year. The Matara branch of the institute, which has been nurturing young talent for seven years, has become a hub for aspiring dancers in the region.
In celebration, the institute will host its annual concert next year. The event will feature 80 students performing a variety of captivating ballet pieces.
Known for its artistic excellence, the institute trains students in a variety of ballet styles, including Russian classical ballet, modern ballet, and mime in ballet. Every year, students are prepared for the Russian School of Ballet exams, an internationally recognised standard, held annually in October.
The Moshika Ballet Institute will continue its skill development for young dancers, under the guidance of Oosha Sarvamithram.
