Saman Edama passes away
Saman Edama a top rugby player of Vidyartha College who went on to play for Havelocks SC and Kandy SC passed away after a brief illness and his funeral took place on Saturday in Matale.
Edema played as a wing-three-quarter and was also involved in coaching and refereeing.
Stubbs Shield winning boxers to be felicitated
Boxers from St. Sylvester’s College who won the Stubbs Shield Championship for the eighteenth time and fourth in a row are to be felicitated by the Old Sylvestrians today (Dec. 1) at the Sampath Hall.
The boxers who did well are TMRL Tennakoon, SGM Azhar, BGD Piyatiake, SPP Angelo, KGSK Heshan and JMT Deshan.
