In what could be a record, MAS Holdings became champions for the ninth successive year at the Mercantile tennis tournament played at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts at Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha on Friday.
They finished on top with two of their players excelling in individual events and the best performer was the promising Anjalika Kurera who clinched a triple winning the women’s singles, doubles and the mixed doubles events through some excellent individual play.
Yasitha de Silva also won a triple in the Division One for men emerging champion in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.
Lanka Minerals and Chemicals finished as runners-up while Acuity Knowledge Partner finished in third place. (TBR)
