Compensation for damaged farmlands

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Namal Karunaratne said that a compensation of Rs. 100,000 per hectare will be paid for completely damaged farmlands.

According to the circular of 2017, this compensation will be given under three categories: 100 percent for completely damaged farmlands, 60 percent for partial damage and 40 percent for crop damage during the planting season.
