Good Shepherd conducts Games
Good Shepherd Convent Kandy conducted their inter-house Games at the Kandy Municipal Council Indoor Stadium and the overall championship was won by St. Helena’s House.
They had sports like basketball, netball, table tennis, karate, chess and gymnastic. The event was graced by Athula Jayewardene Director of Sports of the Provincial Department of Education.
Kandy’s Khalid shines
Kandy’s Khalid Gazalli the 16-year-old cueist and Hassan Amanulla are currently participating in the World under-19 Heyball tournament in Bangalore India.
Khalid Gazalli was able to beat Hassan Amanulla convincingly by seven frames to one. This win helped him to make progress further in the tournament. This is the first time a Sri Lankan is participating in a World Heyball tournament.
