Ekamat Eka Kāleka Japan Ratē was authored by the four alumni of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Udara Iroshini de Silva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Modern Languages, University of Kelaniya; Dr. Samanthika Lokugamage, Senior Lecturer in Japanese, Department of Languages, Cultural Studies and Performing Arts, University of Sri Jayewardenepura; Iromi Senarathne, Origami Instructor and Sandamali Amarasiri Gunawardhena, Japanese Language Teacher of St. Paul’s Girls’ School, Milagiriya. The publication was launched on 4 August 2024 at the Auditorium of the Sri Lanka Book Publishers Association. Representing the authors, Dr. Udara Iroshini de Silva presented the book to Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya on 12 August 2024 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
The guest lecture was delivered by Prof. Praneeth Abhayasundara of the Department of Anthropology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the chief guest. Many guests including veteran lyricist, Ven.
