NDB Shareek shines at IFFSA Awards 2024

NDB Bank’s Islamic Banking arm, NDB Shareek, has again cemented its leadership in the Islamic banking and finance sector by earning multiple accolades at the ninth Islamic Finance Forum of South Asia (IFFSA) Awards in Colombo recently.

The Bank clinched the Gold Award for ‘Islamic Banking Window/Unit of the Year’ and another Gold Award under the category ‘Deal of the Year’ for its work with a leading feed Manufacturer in Sri Lanka. In addition to these institutional awards, Fahmi Rahim was recognised with the Silver Award for ‘Rising Star of the Year.’

The IFFSA Awards, recognised as a prestigious platforms for Islamic banking and finance in the region, celebrates the significant contributions of individuals and organisations to the industry across South Asia. This year’s awards focused on highlighting institutions that demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, technological integration, and social responsibility in their operations.

This recognition comes during a momentous year for NDB Shareek, which recently celebrated its 10th year anniversary.
