A school with a history of 76 years, Beragala Kanishta Vidyalaya – Kegalle, won first place in the All-Ceylon Dancing Competition held recently.
The remarkable aspect is that the school has only 159 students. An appreciation ceremony for their performance was held on the school premises recently.
The Zonal Assistant Director of Education, who was present on the occasion, remarked that it was amazing to achieve such a feat with limited facilities.
Dr. Kasturiarachchi, Chairman of Kegalle Vanilla Plantation, psychology consultant, and company director, was also present on the occasion.
