Yashodhara Balika Vidyalaya Colombo became the champion of the Under-16 girls inter school cricket tournament.
As many as 243 schools participated in the first round at district level and10 teams advanced to the Super Provincial level.
Yashodhara beat Sirimavo Bandaranaike College Colombo, Buddhist Ladies College Colombo, Dharmapala College Pannipitiya and Siri Piyarathana MMV Padukka in the district level matches and went on to beat Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha in the semi final and Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda in the final of the Provincial stage.
Yashodhara then advanced to the all island stage and beat Prajapathi Gothami Balika Vidyalaya Ambalangoda and Mahinda Vidyalaya Ganthiriyagama Ipalogama in the quarter final and semi finals.
In the final Yasodara beat Devapathiraja College Rathgama by seven wickets. (YK)
