The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) calls for applications for the “Nanajaya” Scholarship as part of its plans of nurturing future leaders.

This flagship programme is exclusively available to 18 Plus account holders who excelled in the 2023 GCE Advanced Level examination.

The initiative aligns with the Bank’s 85th anniversary celebrations.

Initially launched in 2003 as the “18 Plus Scholarship” and rebranded as “Nanajaya” in 2016, the programme has consistently provided financial support to outstanding students.

It inspires them to pursue academic excellence and contribute to national development. Since its inception, the programme has awarded scholarships to 3,148 students, amounting to Rs. 139.54 million.

Merit Scholarships will be awarded to the top 84 performers island-wide across all A/L streams.

Each recipient will receive a financial stipend of Rs. 120,000, disbursed over four years of academic study.

General Scholarships will be granted to 300 district-wise top scorers across all A/L streams.

Each recipient will receive Rs. 72,000, disbursed over the first three years of their academic journey.
