Former Minister’s brother arrested

A brother of former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

According to police, the suspect was arrested in Bibile area in connection with a complaint related to alleged financial fraud.

The police said that the suspect, Thisara Iroshana Nanayakkara, had allegedly defrauded around Rs. 3 million from people promising employment opportunities in Finland. The suspect will be produced before the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court.
