Former Western Provincial Councillor Salochana Gamage and another person who were arrested over alleged bribery charges have been remanded until January 6, 2025.

The suspects were arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) while reportedly attempting to solicit a bribe of Rs. 9 million from a businessman in a restaurant at Pita Kotte.
