The S&P SL20 the more liquid index of the Colombo Stock Exchange ’s reached the 5,000 mark during Fridays’ mid-morning trading.
S&P SL20 tracks the top 20 largest and most liquid stocks.
The index gained 29.87 percent, at 5,001.74, after reaching recording an all-time high on Thursday.
The broader ASPI was up 0.64 percent at 16,452.
Total turnover was Rs. 4.8 billion.
