A ceremony was held to usher in the New Year at the Head Office of People’s Bank recently during which the bank staff commenced duties by taking the Clean Sri Lanka Pledge.
The gathering was addressed by People’s Bank Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka. A ceremonial chanting of Seth Pirith as well as multi-religious observances were also conducted on this day. The event at the Head Office was attended by the Corporate and Executive Management, representatives of trade unions, representatives of religious organisations and other voluntary organisations and all team members. Simultaneously in branches all over the country similar events took place with staff members taking the Clean Sri Lanka Pledge in commemoration of the New Year.
