HDFC Bank commences 2025 with multi-religious blessings

HDFC Bank commenced the first working day of the new year 2025 with series of multi-religious activities held at the bank’s head office building to invoke blessings for valued customers, employees and all the other stakeholders for a prosperous and successful year.

The event was held at the bank’s head office building under the patronage of the Chairman P.J. Jayasinghe, the Acting GM/CEO C.R.P. Balasuriya, Corporate and executive management, staff and valued customers in a spirit of the unity.

The proceedings of the event began with blessings from religious leaders representing diverse faiths, symbolising the bank’s commitment to inclusivity and harmony.

Following the blessings, all staff recited a pledge align their efforts with the “Clean Sri Lanka” program.

Chairman P. J. Jayasinghe extended heartfelt gratitude to the bank’s customers, acknowledging the integral role in the banks’ success. He also appreciated the efforts of the frontline staff, branch teams, and the employee union, encouraging everyone to continue working together in the spirit of the pledge recited during the ceremony towards success.

The Acting GM/CEO C. R. P. Balasuriya in his speech reflected the challenges of the past year and expressed confidence in the strength and dedication of the bank’s staff, assuring everyone of their ability to overcome obstacles and achieve bank’s goals.

The event concluded after few valued customers performed the first transactions of the year at the Colombo branch symbolising a positive start to the new year and the bank’s focus on exceptional customer service.
