University of Peradeniya swimming team made a splash at the recently concluded Inter-University Swimming Championship 2024 and they won one gold, four silvers and four bronze medals.
The women’s team emerged as the second runners-up while the men’s team secured fifth place.

St. Sylvester’s and Hemamali do well in boxing
St. Sylvester’s College and Hemamali Girls’ College were champions at the BASL Youth Boxing Championship, retaining the General Jagath Jayasuriya Challenge Trophies.
The event was organized by the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka and was held at the Sahas Uyana in Kandy.
