On December 28, the Leo Club of SLIIT launched the first phase of the “Diriya Prana” project at the Kandy National Hospital, providing vital medical assistance to children suffering from thalassemia.

Starting at 9.30 a.m., this heartwarming initiative aimed to offer much-needed support to these young patients, ensuring their health and well-being. The project, dedicated to providing healthcare and hope, focused on offering blood donations, medical supplies, and raising awareness about thalassemia.

The dedicated team of SLIIT Leos worked tirelessly to support these children and their families, making a significant contribution towards their quality of life. Through this effort, the Leos took a step closer to building a society free of thalassemia, where children can lead healthy, thriving lives. With a strong commitment to humanitarian values, the “Diriya Prana” project continues to inspire the community to unite in the fight against thalassemia and promote a better future for the children affected.
