Daily News Associate Editor Nadira Gunatilleke received the Merit Certificate – Subramaniam Chettiar Award for Reporting on Social Issues at the Journalism Awards For Excellence 2023 at the Mount Lavinia Hotel on January 7.
The People’s Pinnacle Sri Lanka Awards 2024, organised by MUGP International for the third consecutive time to recognise professional excellence in Sri Lanka, was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel, on January 6. At the event, Silumina News Editor Tharaka Wickramasekera received the award for the best News Editor in Sri Lanka 2024 from Chairman, National Library and Documentation Services Board, Dr. Rathna Sri Wijesinghe.
