An interesting clash is on the cards when unbeaten Citizens Development Business (CDB) take on Fairfirst Insurance in the final of the 31st Singer –MCA Super Premier League 2024 T20 tournament on Tuesday, (14) at the MCA ground.
The match will commence at 10 am and mark the completion of the MCA Super Premier League 2024 after the end of the League and the Knock-out.
Maliban Biscuits won the League and Fairfirst Insurance won the Knock-out.
The T20 was conducted with the participation of five teams in a single group and at the completion of the round robin (10 matches), the first two teams in the points table play in the final.
At the completion of the round-robin, unbeaten, CDB finished on top and Fairfirst Insurance secured second place.
CDB convincingly won all of their four matches, beating Fairfirst Insurance by three wickets, BBK Partnership by four wickets, Maliban Biscuits by seven wickets and Hayleys Group by six wickets.
Fairfirst Insurance had two wins, against Hayleys Group by 17 runs and BBK Partnership by four runs. Their match against Maliban Biscuits was washed out and they lost to CDB by three wickets.
CDB is led by Tharindu Ratnayake and Fairfirst Insurance by Moditha Ranatunga.
