The grueling 422 km Tour de Air Force cycling race run over three days will be conducted by the Air Force for the 26th time on February 28 to finish on March 2 from the Weerawila Air Force base to Colombo via Ratnapura and Kandy.
The Air Force has made arrangements to invite Air Force cyclists from the South Asian region to contest the event.
Over 180 super grade riders affiliated with the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka are set to participate in this race.
In addition to the men’s race, the 14th edition of the women’s Race covering a distance of 30 kms is scheduled to be held from Mirigama to Colombo on March 2.
Pathum Sampath of the Army was the overall winner of the Tour de Air Force Cycling Race last year while Anne Shenali of the Navy Cycling Club won the women’s race.
