The Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament 2025, the premier event in the golfing calendar, will be held at the Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links in Trincomalee on January 17 and 18 under the guidance of Air Force commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapakse.

According to the organisers, more than 100 male and female golfers from across the country and around the world have actively signed up for the tournament.

The Eagles’ Challenge Trophy, which will be accorded to the top performer among serving members of the armed services, will be up for grabs in addition to the major trophy among the tri-forces golfers both male and female.

The tournament is sponsored by Dialog for the fifth consecutive year.

The Group Chief Officer of Dialog Enterprise, Navin Peiris, expressed the company’s pride in partnering with the Air Force for a sporting tournament that has gathered pace over the years as one of the most looked forward to events.

According to the organisers, the Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament is a significant facet of Sri Lankan tourism as part of a strategic initiative to boost sports tourism.
