Union Assurance partners with Sabaragamuwa University

Union Assurance has taken a significant step in empowering the nation’s future business leaders by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Sabaragamuwa of Sri Lanka.

This partnership builds on its collaborations with leading academic institutions, including the University of Wayamba, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the University of Kelaniya, reaffirming Union Assurance’s commitment to nurturing Sri Lanka’s youth and preparing them for the evolving business landscape.

The MoU signing ceremony, at the University of Sabaragamuwa of Sri Lanka, was attended by key representatives from Union Assurance and the university, including Nisansala Paranayapa, the Chief People Officer at Union Assurance as well as W.K.A.C. Gnanapala, the Acting Vice Chancellor at the university. This collaboration will focus on several impactful initiatives, including knowledge-sharing sessions, training programs for entry-level professionals and internship opportunities for students, continuing its commitment to shaping Sri Lanka’s workforce and fostering long-term growth for the nation.

Nisansala Paranayapa, the Chief People Officer at Union Assurance, said, “At Union Assurance, we are deeply committed to the growth and development of our people. “By collaborating with the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Sabaragamuwa of Sri Lanka, we are creating meaningful opportunities for students to enhance their skills and gain real-world experiences, empowering them to become the leaders of tomorrow,”Paranayapa said.
