The young athletes of Hobbit House emerged overall champions at the Year 5 and Year 6 track and field meet of the British School in Colombo at the Sports Ministry Grounds in Torrington Avenue recently.
Hobbit House topped the final points table at the completion of the events with a tally of 631 points, while Centaur House was the runner-up with 540 points.
Griffin House secured third place with 488 points and Unicorn House was in fourth place with 304 points.
Arayan Fernando (Centaur) and Zayd Karimjee (Hobbit) were selected as the joint champion athletes in the Boys’ Year 6 category, while Chanuli Gamage (Griffin) won the champion athlete award for the Girls’ Year 6 category.
