The President’s Fund will launch a new initiative under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at Temple Trees on February 7 to deliver services at regional level through the Divisional Secretariat offices.
Previously, the official work of the President’s Fund was limited to the Colombo area. However, under the new plan, these services will be extended countrywide through 341 sub-offices set up at Divisional Secretariat offices across the country.
Pilot projects are operational in five selected Divisional Secretariat offices, and the full-scale implementation of the new service will begin countrywide on February 7.
This initiative was announced during a virtual meeting held yesterday (25) at the President’s Office to brief Divisional Secretaries about the new approach to the services of the President’s Fund.
