Isipathana College and St. Thomas’ College Matara are leading the points table in the group A and B of the Under-19 Division One Tier B inter school cricket tournament.
A total of 18 teams competed into two groups ‘A’ and ‘B’. Every team has to play eight matches in the first round. Four teams from each group qualify to the quarter-finals based on the points table. The first round will end on January 31.
Play will shift to a three day format from the quarter-finals onwards that is scheduled to be held on February 7, 8 and 9 at the Monaravila ground Ratnapura, St. Joseph’s College ground Colombo, Army ground Kuruvita and Maliyadeva College ground in Kurunegala.
Semi-finals will be played on February 14, 15 and 16 at Mandaduwa ground Weeraketiya and Gajaba regiment ground Saliyapura Anuradhapura.
The final will be played on February 22, 23 and 24 at Samadhi ground in Anuradhapura.
