In the aftermath of the devastating floods caused by Cyclone Fengal, Knuckles Water has once again joined forces with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) to provide immediate relief to affected communities. This collaborative effort underscores a shared commitment to addressing the pressing needs of affected communities during challenging times.

This time, the initiative provided 5-liter bottles of Knuckles Water, bottled by Cargills Food and Beverages Ltd., to support 2,000 families in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts. The distribution effort focused on reaching flood-hit residents in severely impacted areas, ensuring that clean and safe drinking water was available amidst the crisis.

“In times of crisis, access to clean drinking water becomes a critical challenge for affected communities. This marks the third time that Knuckles Water has extended a helping hand to provide much-needed relief to those in distress, and we appreciate their timely and continued support”, said the Director General of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Dr. Mahesh Gunasekara. “Recognising this urgent need, Knuckles Water, Cargills Food & Beverages Ltd., has partnered with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society to fulfil our shared responsibility to the people of Sri Lanka”, said Arjuna Kumarasinghe, Managing Director of Cargills Food and Beverages Ltd.

This contribution exemplifies Knuckles Water’s dedication to humanitarian efforts and aligning with their brand promise of being “The Water You Can Trust.”

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society continues to lead disaster response and recovery efforts, providing vital services and assistance to those in need. With the support of corporate partners like Cargills Food & Beverages Ltd., the organisation is able to strengthen resilience and offer hope to communities across Sri Lanka during times of crisis.
