The Government aims at increasing the contribution of the Small and Medium Enterprise sector to exports by around 12-15 percent over the next two to three years according to the Export Development Board (EDB).
At a post budget forum conducted by KPMG last week, EDB Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe said the Government has taken steps to increase the SME sector contribution to exports in the next 2-3 years by scaling up the medium and the micro sector enterprises to get to the next level of business.
