The Sri Lanka U-14 Girls Team for the 2025 ITF World Junior Tennis Competition, Asia/Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event has been selected.
The event is scheduled to take place from February 17 to 22 in Isa Town, Bahrain.
The team comprises top-performing players who earned their spots through trials and direct selection.
As the top ranked player, Annaya Norbet’s selection was a foregone conclusion, while Sahansa Damsiluni, Eliza Kahagalla, and Sayli Basnayake secured their places as the first, second, and third ranked players from the trials, with Sayli also being named as a standby. Dinusha Wijesuriya, the team captain, will lead the group. The selection trials for the 14 & Under team were conducted from November 20 to December 3, 2024 at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association Hard Courts. These trials were crucial in identifying the best talent for the upcoming competition.
