Dharmasena proves his class in wheelchair tennis

Sri Lanka’s leading wheelchair tennis player Suresh Dharmasena proved that he is one of the best among world players when he emerged champion in the ITF Uniqlo Sri Lanka tour, tournaments held in Negombo and Colombo.

The Negombo Open match play event was held from February 11 to 15 and Dharmasena emerged champion. He beat Sunny Bong Hung of Korea in a three setter 6/3, 3/6, 6/4 in the final.

The Colombo Open match play event was held from February 17 to 21 at the SLTA courts and Dharmasena emerged champion once again. He met the same opponent from Korea in the final once again and emerged winner in straight sets 6/3, 6/0. This tournament continues with the Sri Lanka Open that began yesterday and will go on till 25 at the SLTA courts.
