CASA held its 26th annual six-a-side softball cricket tournament recently.
Sixty-nine men’s teams and 29 women’s teams participated in this year’s tournament and a large number of spectators were present.
Ceyline Shipping Ltd emerged as the winners in the tournament gents section and Salota International won the tournament ladies section. Colombo International Container Terminals won the invitation mini tournament.
Praveena Samaraweera of GAC Shipping and Avantha Hewagama of Ceyline Shipping emerged as the best players of the tournament in the women’s and men’s sections.
The chief guest was Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Adm. Sirimevan Ranasinghe.
SLPA Harbour Master Capt. Nirmal Silva, Colombo International Container Terminals, CEO Jan Zhang, Colombo International Container Terminals General Manager, Commercial and Marketing Catriona Jayasundera, Salota International Managing Director Kolitha Wickeramasinghe and Director – Nilu Wickremasinghe, CASA Chairman Shano Sabar, CASA Vice Chairman Janesh Ratnadasa, CASA Treasurer Mushin Kitchilan, CASA Past Chairman Capt. A.V. Rajendra, and CASA Secretary General Ralph Anandappa were also present.
The Sri Lanka Ports Authority, South Asia Gateway Terminals, Colombo International Container Terminals, Hambantota International Port Group, and Colombo West International Terminals took part In the Invitation mini tournament.
The tournament was organised by the Sports Committee and the Membership Activities Committee of CASA.
