Sri Lanka Tourism proudly participated at the ITB 2025, with 68 top tour operators and hoteliers under the Sri Lanka Promotion Bureau umbrella showcasing the best of Sri Lanka with a display of stunning landscapes, rich heritage and unforgettable experiences, making a spectacular presence at the ITB 2025 in Berlin held from 5th to 7th March 2025.
The vibrantly displayed Sri Lanka Pavilion (Hall 2, stand 115) was officially inaugurated, opening doors to exciting B2B meetings and global partnerships.
The Island paradise showcased all its Tourism Products to lure the International tourists to come and have an experience of a lifetime. Sri Lanka is seeing continuous increase in the number of Tourist arrivals since 2024 and is celebrating a remarkable comeback with a target of 3 million visitors.
Sri Lanka is a regular participant of the ITB and as a result of its promotional efforts, the number of German travelers to the destination has doubled in 2023 compared to 2022 and increased even further in 2024 and 2025 first quarter.
Germany is one of the top source markets for Sri Lanka Tourism, which has the second highest number of arrivals from Europe after UK. This time, Sri Lanka Tourism had a myriad of travel and holiday opportunities to offer for the German counterparts, with new initiatives and projects rolled up on its sleeve, in order to highlight that Sri Lanka is still one of the most renowned travel destinations in the world.
The number of Airlines to Sri Lanka have increased and several top Airlines including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish airlines and Lot polish Airlines have resumed flights to Sri Lanka, as a result of the continuous promotional efforts carried out by Sri Lanka Tourism.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion captivated the visitors with its breathtaking designs, layouts and stand construction, with images of its diverse wildlife, fascinating historical sites, picturesque tea gardens and exquisite tea. The Sri Lanka Pavilion at Hall 2, stand 115 featured hotels and hotel groups, DMCs and other exhibitors.
Key industry leaders showcased the uniqueness of Sri Lanka and highlighted its diversity that is unmatched by any other island of its size in Asia.
Sri Lanka Tourism participated in this renowned Travel fair with the Sri Lankan contingent of 68 travel and Tourism stakeholders, along with the National Carrier Sri Lankan Airlines, who has done a substantial amount of work to increase the number of flights to Sri Lanka and improve direct Air connectivity between nations.
