Zahira College Tamil Section had organised Tamil Day recently at the College Abdul Gaffoor Hall.
The function was held under the patronage of principal of the college Trizviiy Marikar, and Dr. M. C. Rasmin as the chief guest and A.S. Najumuddin as the guest of honor.
There was an award ceremony for students who won Tamil language competitions, various artistic performances, and the release of a book on ancient Sri Lankan history written by Grade 11 student M.F. Abdullah.
The principal, chief guest, guest of honour and Vice-Principal Ash Sheik A.M. Mihlar addressed the gathering.
Deputy Vice Principal Mohamed Shazuly, Vice Principals M.T. M. ILham, Mrs. Zeenath Ismail including Head of Primary Hasna Iflal , Sectional Heads, teachers, students from Colombo Schools participated.
