The formal announcement of the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe pageant that is going to be held this year, which was exclusively reported in the Sunday Observer Explorer last Sunday, has had a huge response from the potential candidates.
An unprecedented number of applications too have been received by the pageant 2025 organizers. From the applicants, the selected 150 candidates will face the auditions to be held today, which will be the final at NH Collections, Colombo 3.
Sixty (60) candidates vying for the title will be selected from the hundred and fifty (150) facing the auditions today which will comprise of two rounds, with the presentations in the evening gown and swimwear respectively.
A press conference is scheduled to be held in the morning today at 10 am for the invited media and the auditions are expected to commence thereafter.
This year’s local beauty pageant will be held very grandly aspiring to international standards in all spheres and scheduled to be held in June 2025. The franchise holder for Sri Lanka for the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe is Nirmal Bandara and the Deputy National Director is Manori Dayarathna.
The judges for the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe pageant Auditions today are -; NIrmal Bandara, Manori Dayarathne, Chulpadmendra, Kamil Hewavitharana, Piyuimal Sithum, Yureni Noshika and Brian Kerkoven.
