Once upon a time there lived a girl named Dorothy. She came from New York in America to Canada. She was new to this city in Canada. She has four friends. They were Emma, Kylie, Alan and Liam.
She found these friends after she came to Canada. Dorothy was a cute, adventurous and beautiful girl. She moved to Canada with her mother and father and small sister. She was the only child of her family. Her sister was a girl from an orphanage. Dorothy’s parents had adopted her sister when she was very small. Her age was eighteen and her sister’s age was thirteen. She also had joined a school in Toronto.
During that time she met her four friends. Her favourite was Treasured Memories by Sayumi Wijesooriya. Emma introduced the school to Dorothy. Emma was also a cousin of Dorothy. Emma was now a permanent resident of Canada. She knew more about the country than Dorothy.
Emma was nineteen years old. Emma was one year older than Dorothy. Emma was not as adventurous as Dorothy; she was passionate about forests. Emma was a popular character in school. She was very good at swimming. She went for swimming championships even. She was a good patient and very beautiful girl.
Emma wasn’t well known to Kylie, Alan and Liam. Her favourite book was Mary and the Magical Toy Dragon by Savidula Rathnayake. Kylie was a genius. She was a multi-talented girl. However, she was rude and also with a “Big Head.” She was not that beautiful but she had a good heart. Her age was eighteen. She doesn’t like forests or adventures. She likes to watch movies and drink coffee. She had no patience at all. Her favourite book was Eva and the Winter Nymphs by Induwari Wickramasinghe.
And next was Alan. He was a good boy, but he had a bit of a mental problem. He could hold his breath . When he was a little boy his parents had left him alone in the pool. Alan had wanted to get the attention of his parents. He had dived into the pool and stayed under the water for a few minutes. He had an exceptional ability to hold his breath for about seven minutes at a stretch.
Alan was nineteen years old. His hobby was dancing. His favourite book was First Step to Knowledge by Methulini Malikarachchi.
Next was Liam, Liam was a very annoying boy. However, he likes adventures, forests and also swimming. He wasn’t into studies that much, but focused on commerce because it was his favourite subject. His age was eighteen. He had no hobby. He liked basketball. His favourite book was Amelia Hilton by Sahansa Amarasinghe.
Emma and Dorothy were walking on the corridor when they met Kylie who was selling cupcakes. Kylie was loudly saying, “Buy a cupcake and help to save the Amazon Rainforest.” Dorothy went near Kylie’s shop and asked, “Which rainforests are being destroyed? Suriname? Ecuador, French Guiana? Or somewhere else.” Kylie asked in a cruel manner. “WHO ARE YOU?”
Dorothy replied, “Hi I am Dorothy Winstead. I am from America. Nice to meet you!”
Then Kylie replied, “I am Kylie, here’s a free cupcake from me” She said while offering Dorothy a cupcake. And Dorothy said, “Oh thanks Kylie” And walked away from that place.
Emma said don’t talk too much with Kylie. She is a very rude and bad girl.
Dorothy replied, “But she was good to me and by the way I don’t care.” With that she started walking in the direction of the corridor. They met Alan. Alan was wearing a T- shirt in a theme of a solar system and rushed to talk to Alan. Alan spoke about him.
