GAIA Greenenergy Holdings under the direction of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) presented a demonstration board for solar PV installations to the College of Technology, Kurunegala recently.
The demonstration board, equipped with essential accessories for Solar PV Installation including the inverter, will provide students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge required for field work.
Chief Technology Officer of GAIA Greenenergy Holdings Chathura Vidana Gamage said, “We believe in empowering the next generation of solar technicians with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive Sri Lanka’s sustainable energy future. Our vision is ‘Building an Energy Independent Sri Lanka,’ and initiatives like this are crucial steps toward achieving that goal.”
Assistant Director, EER of PUCSL, Ramesh Chanchala said, “This donation by GAIA Greenenergy Holdings upon our request, greatly contributes to strengthening training infrastructure and providing valuable resources to aspiring solar PV technicians. This initiative is a significant step towards building a sustainable and skilled workforce for the renewable energy sector.” Director of the College of Technology, P.N.K. Gomes said, “This demonstration board will be an invaluable asset to our students, providing them with practical experience and enhancing their understanding of solar PV system installation.”
