Unimo Enterprises Limited has officially launched a range of petrol and electric vehicles from reputed manufacturers marking a new era in Sri Lanka’s automobile industry following the lifting of the five-year private vehicle import ban in February this year. In fact, Unimo was the first sole agent to get vehicles as soon as the ban was lifted.
Titled the “Unimo Brand New Avurudu Drive”, Unimo offers Perodua, JMC, DFSK, Seres and Dayun vehicles at introductory prices. Moreover, most of the vehicles are available ex-stock, unlike other sole agents who are still awaiting their shipments.
With a strong inventory of readily available vehicles, Unimo is set to meet the surging demand as Sri Lankans look to upgrade their rides this Avurudu season. DFSK vehicles (580 and i-Auto) are locally assembled with local value addition, giving a shot in the arm for Sri Lankan seat, tyre and other spare parts manufacturers.
Under the Malaysian Perodua brand Unimo offers the AXIA SE Hatchback, AXIA G Hatchback, Bezza G Sedan and the Aruz X SUV. All these cars are petrol-powered, with hybrid-like performance nearing or exceeding 20 Km per litre depending on the model. Note that your mileage may literally vary due to road and weather, driving styles, speed and other factors.
Safety first
In a world where the automotive industry constantly strives for innovation and excellence, the Axia stands out as a testament to the harmonious blend of aesthetics and intelligence. With its captivating slogan, “Pretty. Smart.,” the Perodua Axia embraces the ideals of modern driving by offering not just style but also substance.
The Perodua Axia places paramount importance on safety, featuring the innovative Perodua Smart Drive Assist system.
This advanced safety technology serves as a guardian on the road, providing drivers with an extra layer of protection, ensuring they reach their destination safely.
Efficiency is at the heart of the Perodua Axia’s design, as evidenced by its remarkable fuel consumption rate of 27.4 kilometres per litre. The Perodua Axia offers a range of 5 exciting colours to choose from. Whether you prefer a vibrant hue or a classic shade, there’s a colour option that suits your individual style. This compact hatchback is thoughtfully designed to provide a balance of style and functionality, making it an ideal choice for urban and suburban driving.
Also on offer are JMC Vigus Pro Double Cab (assembled in Sri Lanka) and JMC Trucks, offering customers immediate access to a range of high-quality passenger automobiles and commercial vehicles. Additionally, the company has introduced bookings for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) from Seres (Model 3) and Dayun (Model DY3), reaffirming its commitment to sustainable mobility. These have a range of nearly 350 Km from a single full charge.
After-sales support
Unimo offers a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) across its range of Perodua brand new vehicles, along with island wide after-sales support to ensure customers receive the best service and maintenance facilities. Service facilities are available at Colombo and Ratmalana and genuine brand new spare parts are widely available from Unimo and third party retailers.
A fully owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC, Unimo Enterprises Ltd benefits from the Group’s 80+ years of expertise in the Sri Lankan automobile industry. Unimo continues to be a key player in the market, supported by a strong network of branches in Kandy, Nugegoda, Matara, Kurunegala, Borella and Ratnapura.
The “Unimo Brand New Avurudu Drive” ensures that Sri Lankan customers can upgrade their vehicles without any delay while also securing early reservations for the latest EVs. Unimo service managers and technicians have been especially trained to handle EV repairs and servicing.
