Sculpture art by Lasantha Epasingha

Final day of the public review is today at Harold Peiris Gallery, Lionel Wendt Art Centre.

VERVE brings together four contemporary sculptors curated by Mandira Ranathunga at Harold Peiris Gallery, Lionel Wendt Art Centre – Asiri Madhushanka, Madusanka Dimal, Lasantha Epasingha, and Sachira Lakshan – who explore structure, balance, and materiality in unique ways.

Madhushanka’s relief sculptures use repetition to question routine and control. Dimal creates a dialogue between raw stone and refined metal, finding harmony in contrast. Epasinghe’s figures struggle against material forces, reflecting human resilience. Lakshan’s copper sculptures capture memories of nature, bridging past and present.

Together, their works transform space, inviting reflection on movement, tension, and form in motion.
