SLIIT Leo Club marked another milestone in their commitment to environmental conservation with the completion of their latest green initiative at the Beddagana Wetland Park on March 16, 2025.

The project, conducted under the second phase of the Haritha Dharani initiative, focused on preserving the natural beauty of wetland ecosystems. SLIIT Leos engaged in cleaning the park, removing plastic waste and debris to restore its pristine condition.

Their efforts not only enhanced the park’s aesthetic appeal but also contributed to the protection of local biodiversity.

In addition to the cleanup, the Leos donated fruit plants to enrich the butterfly garden within the park. This initiative aimed to foster a sustainable habitat for butterflies and other pollinators, reinforcing the park’s ecological balance.

The event, held with the participation of dedicated club members, emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility.

Through such initiatives, SLIIT Leos continue to inspire communities to take proactive steps in safeguarding nature for future generations.
