“Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances” and that is where I quoted Sanford Meisner, a leading American theatre practitioner whose, ‘Meisner Technique’ undisputedly gives birth to impeccable and phenomenal actors.

Michelle Dilhara, the winner of the Most Recognized Actress award for the year 2024, is also a classic example whose application of the same technique makes her an exception in her selected field of art. Michelle’s ingenuity and innovativeness make her an acclaimed performer; winning the award as the Most Recognised Actress of the year 2024 is a milestone in her acting trajectory; the selection process was handled by a board that conducted surveys among the public where initially five actors were selected while two of them were shortlisted; Michelle ultimately won the award.

Michelle herself is a source of inspiration for young people in the island where she is a role model for those whochase their dreams in the field of acting. Every time, you watch Michelle on the screen, you may find that you are left in awe of her expertise. “Winning the hearts of the beautiful people of my country who admire my acting is nothing but one of the most treasured privileges by which I am humbled. I am ever grateful for them for so much of love, empathy and goodwill that they share with me.
