The stunning beauty of our ocean lies not only in its deep blue waters but also along its serene coastline. Unfortunately, due to the negligence of people and the improper disposal of waste, our beaches are gradually losing their charm and purity.

With the noble aim of preserving the coastline for future generations, the Leo Club of SLIIT, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Thalangama South, successfully organized a beach clean-up project titled “The Therapy of Life 2.0.Phase 2”

Held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, the clean-up took place at the Palliyawatta Beach in Wattala from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers from both clubs came together to remove waste and restore the natural beauty of the shore. The event not only helped in reducing pollution but also served to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of responsible waste management.

This initiative marks a significant step towards protecting marine ecosystems and inspiring the community to take part in sustainable environmental practices.
