The KDU Comperes’ Club Executive Committee (EXCO) 2025/2026 was inducted on 23 April 2025. The event unfolded with the curtain raiser.

The Chief Guest, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration) Brigadier Pradeep Ratnayake expressed his appreciation about the novel initiative introduced by the founder and advisor of the Comperes’ Club Dr. Dhinesha Perera.

The installation ceremony was decorated by the unveiling of book titled Comperes’ Workshops in Retrospect and the badge pinning segment for Club President – Day Scholar Subhavi Hansani and eleven EXCO members.

The guests were presented with a trademark delicacy biscuit crafted especially for the ceremony during the Comperes’ live segment.

Visualising the concept of Dr. Dhinesha, the video showcasing trilingual compering talents of students delighted the audience. The objective of the Club is not to just develop student announcers for KDU but to expand the limits to societal good and non- profit value.

The EXCO under the guidance of the Advisor intends to organize training programmes for school-level Comperes, impart skills to less fortunate persons and futuristic projects.

The Club also aims to facilitate announcing and presenting for foreign events in other languages as well reinforcing the future preparedness of the KDU Comperes’ Club.
