On 21 April, the Leo Club of SLIIT successfully carried out a Project “Arunodaya” – Phase 2; a meaningful awareness workshop at Sith Sahana School, Minuwangoda, under their initiative to empower differently abled children. This impactful session focused on helping these children understand how to transform their handmade creations into marketable products, paving the way for financial independence and future growth.
Held from 2.00 PM onwards, the workshop aimed to educate and inspire children with special needs on the value of their talents and the possibilities that await them in the marketplace. SLIIT Leos engaged in interactive sessions, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical knowledge to help the students envision a brighter, self-sustaining future.
By celebrating ability over disability, Hands of Ability became a platform to nurture confidence, self-worth, and entrepreneurship among these young hearts. The project reflected the Leo Club’s dedication to inclusiveness, education, and long-term empowerment — proving that with the right support, every child has the potential to shine beyond limits.
