Cinnamon Lakeside made a great display of the Auvurudu activities that started early outdoors at their picturesque poolside environs overlooking the Lake. The hotel was lucky to have the morning showers clear up for the outdoor activities that were scheduled for the opening day to officially commence.
The setting that followed tradition encompassed the entire area allocated for the stalls and games stretched from the Dinning Room up to the Colombar – and the terrace that runs parallel to the pool including the well laid out garden that created the platform for the exciting games, entertainment and the stalls full of Avurudu goodies. There were dancers and even muppets that Avurudu tradition begets, which especially entertained the children.
Because the opening day was a full day’s programme, it was the ideal for the families with smaller children who relish the open spaces at the terrace to move about more freely and enjoy the treats that the Cinnamon Lakeside had specially designed for them. Many surprises were in store for the children including the games they enjoy – out in the garden.
The kavili stalls were manned by the staff in coloufull traditional attire.
The General Manager, Nazoomi gathered a few regulars to honour the occasion which had all the Tourists in-house and the local guests who gathered to partake in the opening day’s exciting Avurudu activities. -CIM
